Definition
Treatment integrity, or procedural fidelity, measures whether staff implement a procedure the way the plan specifies. It is assessed with fidelity checklists during direct observation and is a routine part of BCBA supervision.
Low treatment integrity confounds data: if a procedure isn't working, you cannot tell whether the procedure is wrong or simply wasn't implemented correctly without fidelity data.
