The Premack principle states that a more-preferred, high-probability behavior can reinforce a less-preferred, low-probability behavior. 'First work, then tablet' is a Premack contingency.
It is a practical reinforcement strategy because it uses activities the learner already chooses, without needing tangible reinforcers.
